ECCO 14 : Launch of the European CanCer Organisation
“Every patient deserves the best” is the motto of the new European CanCer Organisation (ECCO) launched on 24th September during ECCO 14. ECCO aims to bring together major players in cancer research, treatment, and care in order to create awareness of patients’ wishes and needs, encourage progressive thinking in cancer policy, education, and training, and continue to promote European cancer research and its application through the organisation of multidisciplinary meetings and conferences.
Because ESSO shares the goals and values of the European CanCer Organisation, its General Assembly, meeting on 25th September, unanimously agreed to commit to this new organisation and be an active member of ECCO.
