ECCO 14 reduced registration rate for all ESSO members

As a major partner of ECCO 14 the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) is able to offer a reduced rate to all its members registering to the conference. To take advantage of this special rate, please tick the “ESSO member” box when proceeding with your registration. As full members of ESSO, individual members of national surgical oncology societies like BASO, NVCO, BSSO, ESSO France can also benefit from the special ESSO rate.

ESSO Training Fellowships

ESSO Education & Training Committee is pleased to offer a number of training fellowships for young surgeons to visit a specialist centre and develop their experience or be trained in new techniques.

Each year, up to 10 standard fellowships, each worth 2500 euros, are offered for a 1 month training.
Each year, one major training fellowship worth 10.000 euros is offered to support a surgeon who wishes to spend 3-12 months in a specialist centre to develop his/her clinical or research experience in surgical oncology.

Join the call for a European Cancer Strategy

Cancer United is a pan-European campaign driven by a coalition of patients, patient groups, doctors, nurses, researchers, industry, policy makers and major institutions involved in cancer research and care. Chaired by John Smyth and Ingrid Kössler, the campaign’s aim is to ensure equal access to quality cancer care for all patients across Europe.

The campaign calls for a European cancer strategy, with comprehensive national cancer plans a key component of the approach. Four pillars of national cancer strategies have been identified: specific plans to improve the organisation of cancer services; greater attention to quality; more focus on prevention; and continuous efforts to improve outcomes.

ECCO 15 & ECCO 16 dates and venue

The European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) will be a major partner of the ECCO 15 and ECCO 16 congresses, which dates and venue have just been released.

The 15^th European Cancer Conference will take place in the International Congress Centre Berlin from Sunday 20 September to Thursday 24 September 2009.

The 16^th European Cancer Conference will take place in the Stockholm International Fairs from Friday 23 to Tuesday 27 September 2011.
