During even years, the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) organises a biennial congress gathering surgical oncologists from all over Europe and beyond. With an attendance of more than 800 participants, the ESSO Congress offers a wonderful platform for exchanges of experience and know-how and is recognized as the major event on surgical oncology in Europe.

During uneven years, ESSO joins forces with other cancer-related societies to organise ECCO, the biennial congress of the European CanCer Organisation. ECCO is the unique multidisciplinary cancer congress in Europe and attracts more than 10.000 delegates from all continents. Its scientific and educational programme includes a significant surgical oncology oncology track, which makes it a unavoidable complement to the ESSO Congress for all surgical oncologists.
