Elective Course in Oncology for Medical Students

6 – 17 August 2007, Poznan, Poland

The European Society of Surgical Oncology is co-ordinating the organisation of the 3rd elective course in oncology for medical students, an initiative of the Federation of European Cancer Societies (FECS).

The course is intended for medical students from the fourth year on from any university in Europe. The main purpose is to stimulate medical students to specialize in one of the oncology disciplines by providing them with an insight covering all aspects of oncology from both theoretical and practical perspectives.

The faculty gathers experienced teachers from the four partner universities in the project (University of Umea, University of Antwerp, Charité Berlin and Poznan University of Medical Sciences). One of these teachers is Professor Peter Naredi (Umea, Sweden), Past-chair and still active member of ESSO Education and Training Committee.

FECS offers selected applicants free registration to the course, free accommodation in a students’ home and a travel grant.

Read more about the course. Download the application form (deadline: 1st May 2007).
