Elective course in oncology for medical students

4 – 15 August 2008, Poznan, Poland

General information

Following the success of the previous editions, the European CanCer Organisation is organising this summer, in close co-operation with ESSO Education and Training Committee, the 4th elective course for medical students in the lovely city of Poznan from 4 to 15 August 2008.

Initiated four years ago with the aim to stimulate medical students to specialize in one of the oncology disciplines this intensive course has revealed to be a great success as the positive and enthusiastic feedbacks received from past participating students demonstrate.

During two weeks, 24 students from everywhere in Europe gather in the University of Medical Sciences in Poznan to receive theoretical and practical training from experienced teachers. The programme includes plenary sessions, case studies presentations, a visit of different oncology departments and the development of projects in groups for presentation at the end of the course.

Participation is per competitive application. Successful candidates are offered free registration to the course, free accommodation in a students’ home and a travel grant. Read more on the eligible criteria and the application procedure below.
